Details 4 Scale “Standard Mini Watt “ Nav Light Controller Instructions

Instructions for use:

The Standard Mini Watt Nav Light system is designed to supply your sport model with the basic in lighting essentials. There is 1) 1 Watt strobe output, 2) 1 watt landing light outputs and 1 each, 3) 1watt position light outputs.

Programming Features include: One RX input port usually connected to the landing gear receiver output via a "Y" connector to control the on/off feature of the landing lights.

The Nav light system is designed to operate from 1) 800MAH-1200 MAH 2 cell (6.6 V-7.2volt) Li-ion or Li-Po battery connected thru a standard  on/off charge switch.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE CONNECTING ANY WIRES TO THE CONTROLLER!!!

Controller Connections:

Each set of High Watt  lighting connector pins (right side of controller) are polarized with the positive (colored wire) on the upper pin with the (white) negative terminal on the lower pin of each set. The port outputs are as follows:

On the right side of the controller are 6 pairs of vertically aligned pins. The positive pins (colored wire) is on the top of each set, white wire on the bottom.

From left to right:

Ports 1, 2 &3: 1 watt position lights  (these 3 ports are on always)

Port 4:  1 watt fixed strobe (pre-programmed)

Ports 4-5:  1 watt  landing lights (on/off controlled by Gear In pigtail port) signal wire always faces the top edge of the label. OR where the “G” is in Gear In.

Left Side of controller: from top label down side

Battery connection (Positive on left,  negative on the right)

GEARIN port: RX channel in. (Signal lead is on the left- “G” side of lettering)

NOTE*** The male to male connector comes pre-installed into the Gear IN port, the opposite RX end should be plugged into a "Y" from the retract channel on the receiver or into the gear port on the powerbox. You may also choose any separate channel to control the landing lights.

Programming the landing lights:

Turn on the transmitter and place the gear switch in the “UP” position, Press and hold SW1 on the front of the controller.  With SW1 pressed, turn on the receiver and then release the button. The red light on the front of the controller will turn on solid red for approx. 3 seconds while the memory resets. When the light starts blinking slowly, press and release sw1. This will set the gear switch “UP” in the memory of the controller. When the red light starts blinking faster, move the gear switch on the transmitter to the “DOWN” position and press sw1 again. This sets the gear switch “DOWN” position in the controller memory. Done

Troubleshooting: If the landing lights are not functioning correctly, here are the 2 main causes:

The ATV’s for the gear switch are too high. Lower both the “UP” and “DOWN” ATVs on the transmitter.

If you are using an older Futaba 2.4 system, you will need an amplifier for the gear input or simply run the input from the powerbox instead of the “Y” from the receiver.
